How to Become a Student

Starting on your journey with Ivy Tech is easier than you might think! Following these steps will have you on your way to a fulfilling future and well-paying career before you know it.

Prepare to Apply

Need help figuring out what to study? Start by considering what subjects you enjoy and where your strengths lie. Also, ask Ivy Tech’s Enrollment Team for help! They offer self-assessment resources and quizzes to assist.

Apply

Once you’ve decided on the right program, the next step is to apply.

Ivy Tech has no application fees, and you can apply any time, as classes start every 8 weeks.

Complete Enrollment and Necessary Paperwork

Once you have been accepted, it’s time to get ready for classes!

During this step, you’ll apply for federal grants, work-study, and loans for college using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form, discuss transferable credits, complete student paperwork, set up your MyIvy account, and more!

Meet Your Enrollment Specialist

At Ivy Tech, we make sure you have the insights and information you get the most out of your journey!

Each student has a dedicated Enrollment Specialist to help decide the best courses to take and when to meet goals.

Register for Courses

Now the fun part: getting your Ivy Tech schedule set!

Meet with an Enrollment Specialist to register for courses through MyIvy — our Enrollment Team is here to help with questions about any part of the process.

We invite you to drop into Enrollment Services anytime between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on ANY TUESDAY to submit a free application, learn about financial aid and college affordability programs, meet one-on-one with a career coach, and get an admissions decision on the spot.
